Aim and Scope : The Current Development in Oceanography is a fully refereed open-access international journal, which publishes original research articles, critical survey articles, short notes, case study of the world's oceans, including their biology, chemistry, physics, geology, and meteorology. Subfields of oceanography:
Physical oceanography: Focuses on the physical conditions and processes in the ocean
Chemical oceanography: Marine chemistry, this field studies the chemistry of the sea
Biological oceanography: Marine biology or marine ecology, this field studies the organisms that live in the ocean
Geological oceanography: Marine geology, this field studies the formation and evolution of the ocean basins
Benthic oceanography: Studies the ecosystems found on the surface of the seabed
Demersal oceanography: Studies the living organisms that live near the seabed.
The journal do not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) for publishing their articles.
The journal operates on a no publication charge model. Authors are not required to pay fees for submitting, peer-reviewing, or publishing their manuscripts.
Frequency: The CDO is a semi-annual journal appearing in June and December
