Announcement: Pushpa Publishing House Scientific announces to launch a new open-access journal named Journal of Water Waves, with its first issue commencing in 2026. Manuscripts submitted for the inaugural issue will be made available online promptly upon completion of all requisite formalities.
Aim and Scope: The Journal of Water Waves publishes comprehensive research spanning all facets of water wave science, including theoretical modelling, numerical simulation, laboratory analysis, and field experimentation. The journal emphasises the study of wave dynamics and their interactions with both natural and engineered environments while promoting the integration of diverse research methodologies. Interdisciplinary submissions-particularly those combining multiple approaches-are highly encouraged, as are contributions that advance the application of physics and engineering in the field.
All submissions are required to feature an accessible introduction for readers from various disciplines and must present substantial new findings in areas such as ocean and coastal waves, river flows, internal waves, and related phenomena.
The following topical areas will be considered appropriate for evaluation:
• Surface and subsurface hydrology
• Hydrometeorology
• Environmental fluid dynamics
• Ecohydrology and ecohydrodynamics
• Multiphase transport phenomena in porous media
• Fluid flow and species transport and reaction processes
• Water systems and infrastructure
• Drinking water treatment and distribution
• Water Security
• Water Resources Planning, Management and Development
• Potable and non-potable water reuse
• Soil and water conservation models, tools, and technologies
The journal do not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) for publishing their articles.
The journal operates on a no publication charge model. Authors are not required to pay fees for submitting, peer-reviewing, or publishing their manuscripts.
The Journal of Water Waves is a semi-annual journal appearing in June and December. The issue is currently open for Volume 1 (2026).
